Summer 2018 fashion trends: cowboy boots
Oh yes, cowboy boots are back for Summer 2018 and one of the most coveted trends with celebrities and fashionistas (including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kate Bosworth).
While these boots are a signature staple for country singers and a symbol of ‘western’ culture, they have made a comeback for Spring Summer 2018 courtesy of Calvin Klein and Coach 1941. They are back , almost twenty years after Madonna flaunted an ensemble from twins Dean and Dan Caten for the Don’t tell Me video : those were the early 2000s and all girls wanted to wear flared jeans, cowboy boots and a checked shirt.
Cowboy boots in 2018 are not necessarily worn to round out the original country look: they look just right with a Seventies-style dress ( Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) or a sleek trench coat.
Also the design and material can make the difference: not just cowhide or leather, see Kate Bosworth’s sleek velvet boots with crystal fringe detailing (see in the gallery styles from Givenchy and Attico, and the pearl “fringe” boots from Magda Butrym). See also cult designs from Isabel Marant and the cutout take on the Rylee boots from Chloé, designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi (read the interview here).
Cowgirls are back and they are ready for a night out on the town.
